Additional Considerations

The PLIR application process generally takes 2-3 weeks if no project revisions are necessary, or 3-4 weeks if revisions are necessary, plus time for recruitment.

Application Process and Timeline:

  • Up to five business days after submittal for WSCN to review the application and set up an initial meeting.
  • The initial meeting
  • Up to five business days for WSCN to make a decision regarding project approval and notify the applicant of the decision.
  • If necessary, up to ten business days for the applicant to submit application revisions to WSCN if needed to meet PLIR program requirements.

After approval, it may take a week or more to put together and approve a recruitment email.  Once the email has been sent, the applicant may need to allow a week or two for patient collaborators to respond, and as well as time for the applicant’s internal patient collaborator vetting and selection process.
